Perl ping.pl not working...

I am having problems with my new install of cacti 0.8.7g, the perl ping.pl script keeps outputing U. Regardless what I ping, which is causing problems with my ping graphs. Have reinstalled twice, but keep getting same output, is this a known issue? I have also, already done the patches.

Please make sure that all official patches have been applied. Find them on the main cacti site

They are all applied. But, would those patches have anything to do with the perl script being run from the command line?

Yes. Later ping versions do use a different output. There was a patch that was fixing ping.pl with respect to this. You may simply debug the script to find out; it's not that big
