hi,
i've installed configmanager 0.826 and have been able to get a backup working using the script or 'multi' method using a default template 'telnet-cisco-unix' from template.txt. This works fine for cisco devices that have a username and password that will grant access to the correct privilege level to access the running-config.
However most of my devices require a username and password and then the use of 'enable' and another password to access the running-config.
I have a couple of devices that have no username which need supplied with a first password and then an enable password.
I have tried the examples found in the following links:
http://forums.cacti.net/viewtopic.php?f ... rd#p110976
http://forums.cacti.net/viewtopic.php?f ... &start=240
http://cactiusers.org/forums/viewtopic. ... 70&start=0
But even trying variations of the examples in these posts i end up getting errors such as:
sleep: invalid time interval `/var/routerconfigs/routername.cfg'
Try `sleep --help' for more information.
Connection closed by foreign host.
csplit: `/show run/': match not found
and at the very least:
csplit: `/show run/': match not found
I'm sure this is just something to do with the order i am trying to add/amend the echo's in the shell script but i have also seen a post where it mentions an extra field would be added to cover adding an enable password. I can only see a field called 'other parameter (%o%)' . I've tried using this but similar results.
Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Re: configmanager scripts for user and enable password varia
Hi:
I have the same trouble, but my solution (for this case) was to use "expect", I installed it on my CentOS (using yum), and write a script (it's easy), then a crontab weekly, thats all. The Configmanager plugin doesn'nt work with user and passwd, I dont know why..)

thanks for reply. i'l take a look at this. bit of a shame really as the routerconfigs plugin isn't up to much either.
I have another tool called Kiwi Cat tools on a windows box for my backups but was hoping Cacti could be a one stop shop for everything.
