Too many SNMP connections (on clients)

Post by erik.costa »

Hi,

I have a CACTI 8.7a working and now I have to migrate it to a new machine (VM).

I have installed the 8.7g, apply all the patches and start to create all the hosts again (too many dirt in old DB)

But something is wrong, the 8.7a do about 6 connections snmp to get all information in one host and the new 8.7g do the same thing (same graphs) in 63 connections.

I changed the cmd.php to spine and change all possible in "settings" / "poller" but only changed from 63 connections to 58.

The log show this:

8.7a cacti.log

Code: Select all

I think the key is the "HostsPerProcess" but i don't know were to change this.

Sorry about this question but I don't find anything about this in my searches.

Thanks for the help.

I changed the "HostsPerProcess" from 3 to 29 and still the same connections.

If I use cmd.php in one host always do 63 connections if I change to spine always do 58 connections.

No matter what I change in poller config or Device settings.

Any ideas???
