Cacti 0.8.7g General Plugins problem With PA 2.8

Post by Djiguidjik »

Hi!

I've Ubuntu (9.04 and 11.04) with Cacti 0.8.7g installed (on both) and I've a question about the plugins...I've installed PA version 2.8 without any problems but everytime I want to install a plugin I can't install the latest version... For example the monitor plugin works only in version 0.8.2 and not in the last one or even the one before that...Same for the discovery plugin. If i install the latest version (1.1) it doesn't work but with version 0.8.5 i have the discovery tab.... It's wierd...Is there anything more to do with the plugins with PA2.8 ??? I've enclosed a screenshot of my cacti so you can see the version.

And what i mean by "it doesn't work" is that I don't have the discovery or monitor tab and in the "plugin management" the plugins aren't listed when i put them in the last version....

Thanks for any help!

Did you set the url_path in include/config.php?

As you can see in the Screenshot I've configured the path in the include/config.php...

For example if I replace the "monitor" directory with the new version (keep the same path but just put the newest version in the plugins directory) than it's like the plugin isn't installed, I can't see it in the settings and only if i put the previous version it's working....

Please comment the "$plugin" statements for all plugins using the "new PIA" interface.

Thanks Gandalf !

Yep, I've deleted the "$plugin" in the config.php and installed them directly from the Web Interface in the "plugin management" tab (See the Screenshot).

Thanks :)!

Hi!

I have problem with Monitor V.1.2 with Plugin Architecture Version: 2.8.
The monitor plugin screen is white when i have installed and activated the plugin in the PA.

The thing that i believe is a problem is the router config plugin that has ('taken') a row in the 'host' table.
I get this error when trying to import monitor.sql: "#1060 - Duplicate column name 'monitor'"

Yes. The plugin is enabled @ the PA also in Configurations -> Misc -> It is alive there with default settings. White page.
The thing is the .sql includation, not sure how to go further. Could i just delete the entry in the MYSQLdb?
