Post by yonijo »

Hello,
i've got a 2003 srv with apache active perl 5.8.4.
What kind of "Host Template" it would be add ?
And what is the "SNMP Version" of an w2k3 ?
When i add a device on cacti i've got always a SMNP error. I don't understood what is the cause of problem.
Someone can help me please.

Sorry for my english :D and thank you for your answer

You can use either SNMP version 1 or 2. 2003 server supports both.

You can use the generic SNMP enabled host template for your servrs, but that will only give you statistics on the network interfaces. If you want any other types of statistics, you will have to create your own host and data templates. I have posted a how-to for adding new mib variables to Cacti in the information/how-to forum so that might be a good place to start looking for information.

Debugging SNMP.... take a look at this post http://www.raxnet.net/board/viewtopic.p ... highlight= It may help....
