Cant see the graph data...everything seems configured fine

I use cacti with GROUNDWORK integrated...but cant still get a ScriptQuery data to be displayed in a simple graph.

I run... SPINE .... path ... /usr/local/groundwork/common/bin/spine (Ubuntu)
when i run it manually it says not configured, but i assume GW has already set it up.

php binary path .... /usr/local/groundwork/php/bin/php (version 5.2.6)
rrdtool binary path ... /usr/local/groundwork/common/bin/rrdtool (veriosn 1.4.3)

my script correctly returning the values for "get" request...within the MIN, MAX range.
verbos query also gives me good result.

Just after I create Graph ... (for Data Query ..Data source will then be created...), I checked the rrd file in the folder..but nothing generated. I then manually run the same command (what i get from debug mode) and it created the rrd, but with root. so I manually changed the file owernership to "nagios".

the rrdtool fecth show me NAN...

I see following error (in red) in the Cacti log appeared continuosly.

Further investigations are as follows....

1.The script is running with correct output for index, get and query.
2.Data source getting created when i create a graph, but the rrd file is not generated in /rra folder. nagios user has full permission to the directory. Even the following command (debug output) correctly creating a rrd if I execute it manually.

RRDTool Says:
ERROR: opening '/usr/local/groundwork/cacti/htdocs/rra/abc_123.rrd': No such file or directory

I assume the root cause to this behaviour is cacti not being able to create the rrd file. What is the best point in the php scripts to see rrdtool output. I cant see any errors in the cacti logs when the creation triggers.

Does your Cacti poller run as the user 'nagios' ?
Isn't there another user like 'cactiuser' or 'cacti' ?

Poller runs as "nagios" which was bult in with Groundwork installation.

It was correctly creating rrds for pre-configured items such as SNMP, DataInptMethod etc.
I was trying with DataQuery way to setting up a rrd, which I still cant get working.

I just realized that, now all graps not showing data ! It has stopped (few days back) data collection from all sources.
please comment if somone has had the same experience
