Cookie Problem with Cacti

Post by ziggy »

hey guys

i am new to the list and cacti so if i make silly mistakes please correct me :). Anyway , i have managed to install cacti on my SuSE 7.2 and i have followed the instructions as listed in the documentation. I have compiled everything cacti requires now my main snag is when i put in the URL cacti.mydomain.com i get the loggin page , when i try to log in with the admin:admin user and passwd i get a page not found. When i use lynx i see the cookies it asks for cactilogin=1 and changepassword(IIRC) if i allow cactilogin and deny the other cookie i will log in , if i allow all it wont work in will give me an error: URL not Absolute and a error which lies in the auth/changepassword.php, so i was wondering is there a way i can bypass these cookies am not that good with php so i need some help here have any of you had a problem with cookies?

all help is appreciated

Excellent, glad you solved it. What may I ask was the cause of the problem?
