cacti stopped getting data_

Post by ggavilan »

Hello,

I have noticed that sometimes, graphs usually seems like the cacti demo site (see graph attached taken from that site). In my case i am experiencing this, but I really don-t know why, it seems cacti is not getting data. does someone know what is this for?
I have checked rrd file acording to this graph and i see it updated until the time corresponding to the last time I added new graphs to the polling cycle.

notice that the graph is something like cut... in outbound traffic (Salida in the graph) since that time.

This doesnt occur to all my graphs, mayor graphs are OK and this behavior is irregular (as i said, everytime I create new graphs).

I am using cacti 0.8.5 and it is running on Linux RH8

I would appreciate some help with this.
Thank you all!

Try updating to the newest version and clear the polling cache (-> Utilities Menu)

Also, make sure that the data isn't exceeding the maximum or minimum values set in the .rrd files

I checked...

I checked, but maximum values are not exceeded, at least not for all that time. by the way, how can I create a template to fix maximum value to the value of |query_ifSpeed| , in case of graphing traffic? I tried this because I have many datasources and some of them are related to 64K links others 128k links and so on, but when I put the wildcard "|query_ifSpeed|" in the template definition, save is unsuccessfull. It seems it only accepts fixed values in this field.

Thank you for any additional information
