change poller interval + rebuild cache interval =not working

Hello,

I am pretty new to Cacti and still discovering this jewel of logging but i seem to have a problem i can't get fixed. When i change the poller interval to say 15 seconds it stops working. I searched for this problem and came to the conclusion i had to rebuild the poller cache. After that graphs dont seem to get any information.

To clarify the steps i did:

go to console --> settings --> tab: poller --> poller interval set to 15 seconds --> klik save
then: console --> system utilities --> klicked on rebuild poller cache. After that i get a page with info like:

RRD: /var/lib/cacti/rra/apple_airport_extreme_traffic_in_11.rrd
Apple Airport Extreme - Traffic - ath0 SNMP Version: 2, Community: cacti, OID: .1.3.6.1.2.1.2.2.1.16.2
RRD: /var/lib/cacti/rra/apple_airport_extreme_traffic_in_11.rrd

I run this on ubuntu 10.10 with the latest apt-get install of cacti.
I havent done anything except imported a file with some settings for my Airport Extreme, set up some graphs and changed the interval + rebuild cache.

My client machine is a imac with latest software ( snow leopard 10.6.7) and safari.

What am i doing wrong or what should i do?

What is that is not working? You dont get data or what?
Do you know, that CRON for *nix supports minimum of 1 minute interval? I don't know how does poller work, but AFAIK, you should have poller and cron intervals be same...

What you see is that i did what i described before and went to bed. When i woke up i changed it back again because it clearly didnt do anything.

I saw the crontab option also but if it has to be the same, why cant i choose 15 sec also there? I can only choose between 1 and 5 minutes @ the crontab option while the poller interval can be set on several options like 15 , 20 and 30 seconds.

I said already, *nix cron CAN NOT use smaller interval than 1 minute. Read manual.

I know but why can i change interval of the poller to lower then that? Also that doesnt explain why i dont get any information at all in the graphs.
