CereusReporting adds Weathermap support

Post by phalek »

The next release ( v1.70 ) is going to have Weathermap support, so you can actually send out your weathermaps to your customers :-)

It's also possible to create different availability reports for your devices, e.g. one report showing the 24x7 availability and on showing only the 8x5 availability. Failed polls can be listed in detail on the reports.

More info and sample reports can be retrieved from the main post: http://forums.cacti.net/viewtopic.php?f=19&t=30192

Nice! :-)

Now we just need to be able to extend the range of things in Graph Trees...
Weathermap 0.98a is out! & QuickTree 1.0. Superlinks is over there now (and built-in to Cacti 1.x).
Some Other Cacti tweaks, including strip-graphs, icons and snmp/netflow stuff.
(Let me know if you have UK DevOps or Network Ops opportunities, too!)

You mean displaying other things besides the normal graphs and host ? Like being able to add a "Image" field or "External HTML" stuff for description ...?

Yes, that would definately improve user experience and would make my nmidSmokeping plugin better integrate into Cacti ...

And Howie, thanks for the nice structure of your weathermap plugin. Especially the filehash is a very nice idea ...

Yep - I did some work on this a while ago, but then a new Cacti came out, so it was all lost. There's actually some special hooks for it in some versions of Weathermap :-)

I wanted to add:
URL
Image
External HTML/Wiki
and then hooks so that plugins could add their own types:
Weathermap maps
Some sort of threshold status

Maybe we could team up together and implementing this ? I'd love to have this for the nmidSmokeping and the availability graphs/addons I have for CereusReporting.

Also I know that most users would love to add some text/descriptions to their graph tree page ...
