Qnap NAS snmp free disk

Post by gbiondi »

Hi,

I have some qnap on my customers, and I want make graph with thresold for alarm disk space..
I have found in the private mib, a OID work for my case:

1.3.6.1.4.1.24681.1.2.17.1.5

This OID return this value:

snmpwalk -Os -c public -v 1 192.168.200.9 .1.3.6.1.4.1.24681.1.2.17.1.5
enterprises.24681.1.2.17.1.5.1 = STRING: "3.68 TB"

Oh oh!! Surprise.. is a 'STRING' value not INTEGER..

How can I do for 'translate' this, for able cacti to create a Graph?
With 'Generic OID' procedure, not work, because is STRING!!! I have try but the graph remains to '0'

All the best for support..

cacti "should" strip off trailing characters. But in fact, I have no practical knowledge of that ...

This is indeed quite old as we recently fixed some issues in exactly that part of code.

I'm no expert of CactiEZ. But as it's simply plain php code, it should work just like the normal code upgrade procedure documented at 1st link of my sig
