1 minute polling

Post by peekeeweekee »

Hello,

I have a brand new cacti install.
ubuntu 10.10 + cacti 0.8.7g
I just installed the plugin architecture and everything is okay.
Then i am trying to reduce the polling interval to one minute.

So what , i did:

in the cacti settings:
i changed the "Poller Interval" and "Cron Interval" to one minute
I changed the crontab to 1 minute.
I clicked on the "rebuild the poller cache" button.
restart the web server

I tried to download a script on the forum to "repopulate the poller cache", but this script in not working.

My graphs are working well and i see in the logs that the script is launched correctly every 1 minute but
in the graps, i still see 5 minutes intervals

Can you help me?

Thanks a lot

I believe you may have forgotten to update your Data Templates. My default is still 5 minute poll interval but when I look at the Data Template for "Interface - Traffic" I see the associated RRA's only Daily, Weekly, Monthly, and Yearly are selected. The Hourly choice is not selected.

You may want to select the hourly choice in one Data Template and reapply that Data Template to a single data source to see if that fixes your problem. I do NOT know if performing this action will result in data loss.
