Hi,
Upon updating my graphs for a Cisco core device (C6500) I ran into an interesting problem: I wanted to generate graphs for all interfaces that are "up" so I wrote a graph rule that looks like this:
Rule Items => Eligible Hosts:
Item#1 1 host.hostname contains sw1-core-rz2
and
Rule Items => Create Graph
Item#1 2 ifAlias is not empty Move DownMove Up Delete
Item#2 3 AND ifOperStatus contains Up
With "Show Matching Graphs" I get a list of all interfaces that are up on the corresponding Switch; for example:
sw1-core-rz2 Up 77 Up GigabitEthernet1/4/21 Gi1/4/21 na2-c2-rz2 (e0c) ethernetCsmacd(6)
sw1-core-rz2 Up 78 Up GigabitEthernet1/4/22 Gi1/4/22 na2-c2-rz2 (e0b) ethernetCsmacd(6)
As far as I understand autom8 should generate graphs for these interfaces when I select the corresponding Switch under "devices" and select "Apply Autom8 rules", but this doesn't work; in fact autom8 doesn't generate any new graphs.
For example for the two interfaces shown above I never get any graphs when applying autom8 rules.
Am I doing something wrong here?
BTW, I already set logging for autom8 to debug - I could send the corresponding "cacti.log" entries to you in a PM in case you want to have a look @ it.
Thanks much in advance for any clue,
-ewald
