Link missing after PIA

I've just installed the PIA (cacti-plugin-0.8.7g-PA-v2.8.tar.gz) NOT using the patch but the files method.
All is working except for one thing.
On the graph template page -> Graph Template Items
the link for [Field Not Templated] on both the Data Source and Color is no longer a link but displays:
[<a href='graph_templates_inputs.php?action=input_edit&id=45&graph_template_id=18'>Field Not Templated</a>]

I knew something in Cacti broke after the first of the year, but I don't know what, or exactly when. I had a bunch of weather graphs (with the "weatherbug" procedure that floats around on the board) which stopped working, and one of my custom summation functions. I'm finally starting to deal with this now, and I'm getting much the same error in the console as this, except I'm not getting the same problem on the color field. I'm thinking that it probably happened around February, which is when this thread started.

I'm running the stock cacti (0.8.7e-2ubuntu0.1) that comes with Ubuntu 10.04. I applied all the patches and rebooted the box, just to make sure that one of the emergency security patches which might have been applied in the interim wasn't left hanging. I still get the same problem I had before.
