i run cacti for a while on a synology NAS system. all wents file for a long time
today i installed netcar on the system and get problems while sending emails.
but first my configuration:
Cacti Version: 0.8.7g, Plugin Architecture Version: 2.8, thold 0.4.3, netcar 0.30
now the problem:
setting mail sending to SNMP works fine in any plugin for any mail (but not encrypted)
setting mail sending to php mail() function works fine for thold ans testmails but not
for necatr, what happend is, that the encryptec connection will be done and nearly
21MB will be transfered, same mail using snmp is only several kb big. after the 21MB
where transfered (i did a ngrep for port 25 and piped it to a file that is 21MB biog)
i get the several KB big email. so what does the netcar process did with the email
connection ? using the mailer.php that comes with the plugin have the same result.
i want to use the php function, because i wanna use encrypted emails.
