Aruba Controller - Result from SNMP not valid

Post by osiris123d »

I am trying to graph some stuff from an Aruba controller and running into some issues.

I am trying to monitor
Memory (Free and Used)
Registered APs
Temperature
Clients associated

The only one that is currently working is "Registered APs"
For all the others I see the following in the log
02/18/2011 01:50:01 PM - SPINE: Poller[0] Host[8] DS[121] WARNING: Result from SNMP not valid. Partial Result: ...
02/18/2011 01:50:01 PM - SPINE: Poller[0] Host[8] DS[120] WARNING: Result from SNMP not valid. Partial Result: ...
02/18/2011 01:50:01 PM - SPINE: Poller[0] Host[8] DS[119] WARNING: Result from SNMP not valid. Partial Result: ...

Here is what I see when I debug
02/18/2011 01:55:01 PM - SPINE: Poller[0] Host[8] DS[121] SNMP: v2: 172., dsname: aruba3200_clients, oid: .1.3.6.1.4.1.14823.2.2.1.4.1.1, value: U

02/18/2011 01:55:01 PM - SPINE: Poller[0] Host[8] DS[117] SNMP: v2: 172., dsname: 5min_ap_count, oid: .1.3.6.1.4.1.14823.2.2.1.1.3.1.0, value: 24

Not sure why I am getting the U value. When I do a snmpwalk on these OIDs I am able to poll a Gauge32 value successfully. Not sure whats wrong.

Aruba - Free Memory
snmpwalk -v 2c -m ALL -c ***** 172.*.*.73 .1.3.6.1.4.1.14823.2.2.1.1.1.11.1.4
SNMPv2-SMI::enterprises.14823.2.2.1.1.1.11.1.4.1 = INTEGER: 68732

Aruba - Used Memory
snmpwalk -v 2c -m ALL -c ***** 172.*.*.73 1.3.6.1.4.1.14823.2.2.1.1.1.11.1.3
SNMPv2-SMI::enterprises.14823.2.2.1.1.1.11.1.3.1 = INTEGER: 253760

Thanks

You see, that the responses have an appended ".1"?
Please add this to your data template and rebuild the poller cache
