Syslog 1.05 - method of removal (of the logs) ?

Hello,

I am running Cacti 0.8.7g + PIA 2.9.
I have installed Syslog 1.05.
I am a bit puzzled by the log removal procedure.
When I create a removal rule I have to select for the 'Method of Removal' either 'Deletion' or 'Transferal'.
I have no clue what 'Transferal' could do so I select 'Deletion' telling myself that it will delete the
corresponding logs from the table ... but it does not. Nothing happens.
To effectively delete the logs I have to select 'Transferal'.

Could someone explain to me why 'Deletion' does not delete and why 'Transferal' does?
