Host down - email notification

Hi all,

I have a problem with host down email notification - it's not working (looking for simple solution - on host down email with alert). When i test it i receive test email but when i change status one of my machines to down (which has monitoring turned on in cacti) I dont receive any email. Using SMTP and newest cacti 0.8.7g. No errors in logs. Anybody with familiar problem ?
