Error: Failed Memory Size

Upon installing Cacti 0.8.7 (by which is an AMAZING program) I tried to install it, and once I was done with all the configurations in the config files and the database I got this error when I tried going to the program.

Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 33554432 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 73 bytes) in /home/lakota/public_html/staff/cacti/lib/database.php on line 178

Any ideas on what I can do to advert this?

Increase memory size in /etc/php.ini to e.g. 128k
