Mac address format ends up wrong

Experiencing issues where (some) mac addresses seem to get stripped by 2 characters and others are ending with an ":"
Using cacti 0.8.7.c and mactrack 2.6. Haven't had these issues before. Seems I'm only getting this on 3750-stack setups.

Any ideas?

Little update:

Did some further research and I can't explain why but only some mac adresses starting with 6c626d (Micro-Star INT'L CO., LTD) are having this strange issue.
Seems to much of a coincidence.....
3750 platform seems irrelevant, cat 4000 (IOS) is giving me the same issue.
