[HELP] Consolidation Function

I read the following link about consolidation function.

but I am unable to understand the exact meaning of consolidation function last.

my understanding from above link is 'last consolidation function' gives last polled value.

I created graph for 1 table in MIB and i got the graph but in my graph 'last value' is coming close to value which is in MIB browser.

Does last consolidation function returns exactly last polled value or approximate to last polled value...?

Please help...
