Windows 2008 Server Template
Is there any available template for memory, cpu, network and HDD usage for Win2008? I have a Linux Box running on CentOS 5.4 and Cacti-0.8.7e.

Hi loipal,
Your best bet will be the link below:

Since there is hardly anyway to extract data from windows hosts from a Linux Cacti box you need to install the free version of SNMP informant on top of the SNMP daemon that comes with windows. Once you have set it up load the templates in the link and let it gather pretty data.

Hi jamdev12,
Thanks for your prompt reply, I have tested the templates already but with no luck as my company won't allow me to add any programs in our servers like snmp informat so I need to search other templates without snmp informant. Do you have any idea where I can get win2003/2008 templates without snmp informat? Thanks anyway..

Hi loipal,
That is part of the problem there. Without some way of a middle program to translate what can be grabbed from a Windows host this is a hard task. I'm not going to ask why your company would not let you do this, I'm pretty sure they have their reasons. The next step would be WMI. This will definitely be more difficult as the WMI connectors in Linux, from the ones I've tested are all broken.
Seems your best best is this link if you are running CentOS 5.5 x32: http://www.network-outsourcing.de/uploa ... _32bit.tgz
You can take a look at this thread here and read on as it is long. I haven't tried this myself so good luck, but this gives you a step in the right direction:

Thanks,
