Cacti Flowviewer Help

Post by Singh »

Hi I'm currenty having issues with cacti and the flow viewer plugin. It keeps saying it can't find the flow-cat binary and I don't know where that is. I would appreciate if someone can help me. I am running cacti on Windows XP version 0.8.7e with PIA 2.5.

Likely due to it being designed for Linux. You may have to due quite a bit of the leg work on this one on your own, or contact Cigamit.

As far as I know (I haven't checked in years) but I believe flowtools does not work on windows at all (I could never get them to compile under cygwin). The plugin is Linux only for now.

Hello,

I have an issue working with Flowview and CACTI.

I have installed cacti in a Windows server 2008 and I have so many plugins working. I tried to use Flowview because this is exactly what I need to select some traffic by IP source or destination.

I put the flowview folder on /cati/plugins as any other plugin, from Plugin Manager, I installed it and enabled it. The flows tab appeared on my CACTI.

I was going to create a new listerner, with the correct path from my Settings->misc-> .../cacti/plugins/flowview/ but when I started a query this error message appeared: 'Can not find the 'flow-cat' binary at '.../cacti/plugins/flowview', please check your Flowtools Path Setting! '

I´m collecting data from all my devices by SNMP but I´m not sure what I´m doing bad or if it is possible use this plugin on Windows server.

Could someone help me?? I have read so many posts and some different websites and I couldn´t fine anything.

Thanks in advance.

Regards!

Your question was already answered in the post right before yours. It will not work on Windows.
