Installation Problem in Windows 2008 S x64 with IIS 7

Post by john_33 »

Hi,
I have been trying two days now to install Cacti and all the relevant apps, following the instructions as shown in the link below:

http://bsod2600.home.comcast.net/~bsod2 ... figuration

*************************************************

The point is when the PHP installation is completed, and go to move the contents of the C:\usr\mibs\ folder to C:\PHP\Extras\mibs\ something goes wrong because there is no any mibs file in C:\usr folder. Instead there is an snmp folder.

I would also ask you what is the RRDTool file which I have to use for Windows 2008 Server and where I can download it?

Thank you in advance!!!

Hi again I decided to use the Installer Windows Installer [v1.94 - 2009-11-25]. I finished the installation steps and I followed the post-installation instructions and rebooted the Server. Then I loged in and now I am in the Cacti home page.
From the cacti-installer log the only error messages I've got are:

Configuring IIS with PHP...
IIS7: Adding FastCGI
ERROR ( message:New application object missing required attributes. Cannot add duplicate collection entry of type 'application' with combined key attributes 'fullPath, arguments' respectively set to 'C:\php\php-cgi.exe, '
. )
IIS7: Adding FastCGI Handler
ERROR ( message:New add object missing required attributes. Cannot add duplicate collection entry of type 'add' with unique key attribute 'name' set to 'PHP_via_FastCGI'
. )
IIS7: Adding default document
ERROR ( message:New add object missing required attributes. Cannot add duplicate collection entry of type 'add' with unique key attribute 'value' set to 'index.php'
. )
Updating php.ini...
Setting NTFS permissions...

I will try to set up some network devices for monitoring purposes and see if everything work fine.

Those errors are acceptable, as the installer tries to force those configurations (because every php installer has new/different bugs which my installer compensates for).
