Fixing GAPS

Post by Zombie »

Server
Fedora release 7 (Moonshine)
cacti-0.8.7b
CMD.PHP
rrdtool.i386 1.2.27-1.fc7
----------
I've been using this server with no problem for 1 year after that I started to see GAPS on the graphs from time to time >> only one cron is running

You can bump the number of concurrent processes. Right now you only have a 1 way process. Not good as in interim. You can easily go 2+ the number of cores.

The Witness One Of The God Fathers Of CACTI

can you please tell me the way of doing the above step ... appreciating your great effort

error after changing to spine

Hosts:441 HostsPerProcess:441 DataSources:12106 RRDsProcessed:0

then the rrd increases ..... RRDsProcessed:168 and that's it

is there any other solution

If the spine version is G and Cacti is before that release, there is a PRE-G variable that must be set in spine.conf.

Don't have enough details to go further.

Spine is running but the rras seems to be conflicting with old ones.

anyhow I'll keep using CMD.PHP but can you tell me what will be the best value of Concurrent Poller Processes to choose for my architecture as I bump the processes to 8 as shown below

Fedora Core 7 32 bit
8 Processors Intel(R) Xeon(R) CPU E5420 @ 2.50GHz
8Gb RAM

Code: Select all

09/14/2010 06:00:59 AM - SYSTEM STATS: Time:57.5080 Method:cmd.php Processes:8 Threads:N/A Hosts:357 HostsPerProcess:45 DataSources:11983 RRDsProcessed:6020
Thank You
