Unable to install mactrack 2.6

Post by praxis »

I upgraded Cacti to 0.8.7g and PA to 2.8, and freshly installed all other plugins (including thold, aggregate, etc) with no issues. Cacti.log is clean.

When I download mactrack-2.6.1, extract and chown it properly, my Plugin Management page goes blank (nav bar and menus stay put, unless I try adding mactrack to config.php, then the whole thing goes blank...so I dont do that)

This is without importing any mactrack/*.sql or running any mactrack/*.php - if I try any of that, it all seems go work fine, but Plugin Management page remains empty. I've tried this with mactrack 1.1, 2.4 and 2.6 with the same results (cleaning out mactrack folder and dropping mac_* tables in between each try). If I remove setup.php from the mactrack folder, plugin management page shows up again...so I tried grabbing the latest setup.php from svn, but that didnt help at all.

Again, cacti logs remain clean throughout the process...so, any ideas how I can troubleshoot this?

Update: I noticed that when I click the Plugin Management link to see my blank page, sometimes I see this in cacti.log

MacTrack 2.x installed from Plugin Management, this includes tables etal. The issue with Plugin Management is very odd. I would have you update the Plugin Architecture when it get's released next week for the Temporary Table issue.

Thanks for the response

Do you believe I'm running into a compatibility issue with PA 2.8 and mactrack? From what I can tell, it seems like PA 2.8 doesnt like mactrack's setup.php. If this is the case, then I'm suprised that I'm the first to run into the issue...

I'll have to test 2.6. Most people are likely running 2.8 or 1.1.
