BOOST Error - Cacti 0.8.7g (beta2)

Post by mcutting »

Looks like there is a error in Boost 4.1 and 4.2 (SVN)

The below appears in the error log

Undefined variable: sql_where' IN FILE:'/usr/share/cacti/site/plugins/boost/setup.php' LINE NO:'995'

Any thoughts ?

Thanks

Actually Larry, sorry.

It looks as though something didn't get applied correctly. However, it looks like Beta 2 of SPINE 0.8.7g was causing the issue. Rolled back to Beta 1, and it works fine.

Ok, I see 'boost_redirect' (was not testing). Give SVN about 15 minutes and then download the latest setup.php.

Thanks Larry.

Will wait for 30 minues just in case. Just out of curiosity, even with BOOST disabled, only 205 out of 2000+ RRD's were being updated. Almost like SPINE segfaulted, but no reason in the logs - even with DEBUG.

That makes no sense.... Apply the setup.php and try beta2 again. You are using boost redirect right?

Which spine? I pulled a few sleeps from beta2 to speed things up during thread launching.

Well, if your run b2 in read only mode, does it crash:

Code: Select all

while [ 1 ]; do
  ./spine -R
  sleep 1
done
This is a DOS (for other monitoring systems), so don't do it too long.

Hmm - spoke too soon...

Boost seems to have put this into the log

06/14/2010 01:58:49 PM - BOOST: Poller[0] PROGERR: ERRNO:'8' TYPE:'Notice' MESSAGE:'Undefined variable: sql_where' IN FILE:'/usr/share/cacti/site/plugins/boost/setup.php' LINE NO:'995'

SPINE 0.8.7g B1 didn't die though - any ideas as to what this is ?

Thanks

The SVN Boost version will fix that.
