Which plugin to use ?

Post by madsn »

Hi, I'm running Cacti combined with weathermap and it works perfect! Now I want to add some more functionality to my Cacti installation. Most of my network equipment supports syslog and SNMP traps, so I want to now which plugin to use for this?

I have found two: Camm and syslog. What are the arguments to use the different ones and maybe there is a third one that I havn't seen yet?

CAMM is the one being actively developed, and has a nice JSON / JAVA based interface, with several great features.

SYSLOG is quite old (but currently being worked on by Cigamit), and goes back to the original conceptual plugin of H.ALOE.

Use CAMM....:)
Cacti Version 0.8.8b

Thanks! I have had a look at Monitor, but I don't think it is what I'm looking for. I'll go for the Camm plugin then. Thanks for your replies.
