Graphs: incorrect values?

Post by FizzyFizz »

Hi all,

In our company we are using Cacti for some months now. Until now we are very satisfied. The only issue we have at the moment is how to interpret some of the default Cacti graphics.

I have included the graphics as screenshots below.

Can someone here tell me how it is possible that on the daily graph our maximum inbound traffic is 3.05Mb/s and on the yearly one 23.56? Our connection is not even capable of handling those kind of speeds.

We also use the 95-percentile red line because we got invoiced that way. Can I be sure that this line is correct?

Thanks in advance!

1) Graphs are created by rrdtool.
2) historical data is subject to consolidation, unless defaults are changed: http://docs.cacti.net/manual:088:8_rrdt ... solidation
