[solved] Data Sources Empty

Post by drcryogen »

When clicking on the data sources link under the management section, I get no results (see 1st image). It acts as if there are no data sources for any hosts. If I choose any host, it returns the same empty result.

However, my data sources still exist and are being graphed.

If I go to devices under the management section and then choose any device, I can then click the data source list option in the top right and display all of the data sources for that device. (see 2nd image)

I can also display data sources as long as one of the 4 fields (Host, Template, Method, Search) are not set to Any (drop down boxes) or empty (Free Form). (see 3rd image)

Sometimes (I haven't figured out how to reproduct it yet), I get a screen similar to the 3rd image except Host is set to Any, Template is set to Any, Method is set to Any, and Search is empty but I don't get any hosts. With exception of the fact of there not being any hosts, I would expect to see this screen when Any is selected for Host, Template, and Method and Search is empty. However what I generally get is the result in the 1st image.

I also have a custom Graph Template that calls for two data sources but It doesn't give me the option to choose my data sources. It's almost as if it too is not seeing any of the data sources and therefore thinks there are none and won't allow me to select any.

My best guess is that the two are related.

This was working earlier thiss week but for some reason, it's not working today. I've been adding devices, so it's possible I changed something. However, for the life of me, I can't figure out what.

I'm running:
RedHat ES 5 (64-bit)
Cacti 0.8.7e
MySQL 4.0.77-4
PHP 5.1.6-24

I ran a mysqlcheck on the database and everything turned up clean.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Regards,

In case anyone else runs across this issue, I have found a solution that worked for me. I had to increase the memory_limit in the php.ini from 16M. The tech support page recommended 484M based on the number of data sources I have. So, I increased to 600M and everything is working great!
