Graph description to Interface

Post by Karde »

Hi

Is there any simple way to bind a Graph description to an interface (without chaninging it on the physical router).

When I create the graphs I wan't to be able to; for example, bind just the description (Title) to the right interface (with a Template or something?), so that when it graphs the interface it shows up with the that Title.

THANKS

So you want to type in the title of the graph each time you create a new one? At least for a single template?

Yes...

For example, when i create a new cisco router device, I "import" all the interfaces and create separate graphs for them and place them on my tree, It's just that the description on my cisco router interfaces (say FastEthernet 4) that I create graphs for, isn't what I wan't it to be.

So I was wondering if there's a way to bind my interface to the right Title when I graph it, thus getting the right Title (to the right interface on the right router) in Cacti without going under and change it for every interface on every device..

Please see http://docs.cacti.net/manual:087:3a_adv ... data_query to learn how to manage custom titles with a Data query
