Notifications for system administrators.

Post by Const.lv »

Hi, all!
Can someone give me an advice? We have many devices in our
network. And every device is administered by separate administrator. How can I specify their emails for notifications, when system goes down?

At this moment I have cacti+thold, but in "thold" module I can specify
only one global alert-email for all hosts...

Does the module exist, which allows to define email, when we
add a new device, and uses it in future, for sending alerts about host status?

Thanks!

You could use nmidUpDownMonitor, which lets you define an alert email per host as well as per down interface. You will get an email when the system/interface goes down, a recovery and one up email with the downtime in it ...
