Discovery plug-in deleted data-sources?

Post by jumbo »

Hello all,

Recently I have been playing with Discovery 0.9 plug-in and ran it from command line as suggested on number of places like this:

Code: Select all

php findhosts.php -f -d
As I had the option "Rerun Data Queries" turned on it went through all my current graphs and was trying to discover something new. When it finished I found out that for some reason some graphs are not displaying anything.

After a while I found out that all data-souces of interfaces that were down during the scan were removed.

I am sure the box "Create Graphs for Up Interfaces Only" is NOT turned on, so not sure why this happened. Anyway, is there any way to:
a. recover the data-queries
b. re-create them in a batch job

Thanks a lot,
jumbo

Restore your database from your last backup.

Thanks for the response.

I have a full disk backup from the day before the "incident", do I need to just restore the DB or also do something with Cacti directory and the RRD files in it? Is there a doc that explains the recovery procedure?

Anyway thanks a lot for your help,

Restore the database. The RRDfiles do not get deleted.
