cacti-0.8.7e and php 5.3

Post by eterzella.r.t »

PHP 5.3.1 (cli) (built: Feb 15 2010 17:27:14)

Using cacti, installed on a server openSUSE 11.2, with lighttpd and php 5.3.

Seeing logs lighttpd appears many errors deprecated:

Deprecated: Function ereg_replace () is deprecated in / var / cacti / lib / rrd.php on line 0
Deprecated: Function split () is deprecated in / var / cacti / poller.php on line 158

Someone can tell me if there is some version of cacti that is compatible with php
5.3?

Cacti 0.8.7e is not officially compatible with php 5.3.x. Please go back to 5.2.x.

It works for the most part if you suppress the warnings about depreciated functions.

I need to move my cacti install onto a machine running an older php version
