SNMP-Informant installation failed

Post by andretapxure »

Hi, There!

I Installed snmp-informant advanced but any of his mibs are
responding specialy the Windows media ones. Is there some test I can do to
put it together?
Thanks
Additional Information

1 - SNMP-Service is properly installed and I can do graphs of standard OID´s.
2 - Windows 2003 Standard English SP2 with all recent updates aplied (I´m neurotic with updates)
3 - No Error on installation, I tried to instal many times and one of them was logged installation

4 - What happens when you do an SNMP walk on the Media Services OIDs?
i simply dont get any results:

[solutti@f8 trunk]$ snmpwalk -v 1 -c si baby.solucoesideais.com.br .1.3.6.1.4.1.9600.1.2.89.1.1
End of MIB
[solutti@f8 trunk]$

and dont get any results from other SNMP-Informant OIDs too:

[solutti@f8 trunk]$ snmpwalk -v 1 -c si baby.solucoesideais.com.br .1.3.6.1.4.1.9600.1.2.89.1.1
End of MIB
[solutti@f8 trunk]$
[solutti@f8 trunk]$ snmpwalk -v 1 -c si baby.solucoesideais.com.br .1.3.6.1.4.1.9600.1.2.89.1
End of MIB
[solutti@f8 trunk]$ snmpwalk -v 1 -c si baby.solucoesideais.com.br .1.3.6.1.4.1.9600.1.2.89
End of MIB
[solutti@f8 trunk]$ snmpwalk -v 1 -c si baby.solucoesideais.com.br .1.3.6.1.4.1.9600.1.2
End of MIB
[solutti@f8 trunk]$ snmpwalk -v 1 -c si baby.solucoesideais.com.br .1.3.6.1.4.1.9600
End of MIB
[solutti@f8 trunk]$

and when i came out from SNMP-Informant MIB (.9600), i start getting results, showing SNMP agent is indeed working.

[solutti@f8 trunk]$ snmpwalk -v 1 -c si baby.solucoesideais.com.br .1.3.6.1.4.1

1) do you have the windows media services / etc installed?

2) As it appears normal snmp operations are working on that server, then it sounds like snmp informant specific issue. as that is a paid product, I suggest you contact the vendor for support.
