Windows 2003 MIB/OID's

Post by deneken01 »

Dear all,

I am working with Cacti for about three years now. And I am very thankfull for such a great product. Recently out internal IT dept. have been (up)graded to Windows 2003. During the time I worked with Cacti, I found it best to work with loose OID's and make my own data sources. After the (up)grade, I am unable to poll more than only some basic information (traffic, etc). Does anyone have the MIB files for windows2003 server, or the loose OID's?

Thanks for your reply in advance...

checkout -snmp-informant

http://www.snmp-informant.com

They have a free download that will expose the 4 Big counters to SNMP. (CPU, Memory, Disk, Network). These are the same counters available through Perfmon but you can do an SNMPGET to return the values.

The other option would be to use WMI Queries for the information. WMI is supported on 2003 Server.

Not required Windows2000+ utilizes HostMib's out of the box. Utilize raX's Windows2000/XP Host Template...
