Hi, erveryone,
my platform is created after your help and my hard working. and now, i have a question. it is said that the rrdtool1.2.23 is stabler than the rrdtool1.3.8. in additional, the rrdtool1.2.23 contains much more lib files so it's easy to install. yes, i met a lot problems when i installed the rrdtool1.3.8 and it didn't work after installing. as a result, i choose the rrdtool1.2.23 which seems to be more popular on internet. but i still want to know the advantages of the rrdtool1.3.8. thank u.
rrdtool1.2.23 VS rrdtool1.3.8

RRDTool 1.2.23 is "quite" stable. On Linux, I recommend 1.2.27 due to the use of "fadvise" which is a performance boost.
1.3.8 has some new features and the graphing part has changed completely. E.g. fonts are now handled completely different (and unfortunately, cacti 087 does not like this, yet. But Cacti 088 will). 1.3.x supports rrdcached (experimental, officially supported with 1.4.x).
Currently, you likely will live comfortable using 1.2.23/27

thanks a lot. but has the cacti 088 been available on internet? there is another problem. my cacti is cacti 0.8.7e, rrd is rrd1.2.23, but the PA is PA 2.6. after installing, i visited the cacti page. when i clicked monitor or thold, there were some buttons that couldn't be shown and the links of buttons were wrong. therefore, i install PA 2.5. do you meet the alike problem.
