cacti installation for aix 5.3 - problems

would you be kind enough to give me some pointers for the installation of cacti for aix 5.3. Installation for solaris is working, installation for aix for "load average" is working. no other graph displays anything this far for the last few weeks. should i install an aix- client? should i install net-snmp (?? how??) should i just tell them that aix and cacti do not handshake well?
