timestamp for poller

Hello,

Is it possible to provide timestamp to the poller?

I'm trying to draw data from a database using my script (data input methods - script/command) and this database data is lagging and so belongs not to the current timestamp which poller sets to rrds but say 5 minutes before. May be I need to use Data Queries instead?

Will it work for cacti if I'll be setting data into rrd from another application?
