Spine SVN r5655

Post by n3g »

I'm running spine r5655 with 0.87e and see:

Code: Select all

NOTE: Spine did not detect multithreaded device polling
in the logs.
spine.c reveals:

Code: Select all

result = db_query(&mysql, "SHOW COLUMNS FROM host LIKE 'device_threads'");
which isn't present in my 0.87e setup.

Can this threads per device setting be utilised by spine if created on 0.87e?
Where/which revision can I find the column defintion?

Thanks in advance.

Spine SVN main has not been compatible with the 0.8.7e branch for at least a month. It is being redesigned for 0.8.8, which is not stable yet either.

Stick with 0.8.7e branch of spine.

Maybe I got the revision incorrect, 0.87 is reported:

Code: Select all

/usr/local/spine/bin/spine --help
SPINE 0.8.7f Copyright 2002-2009 by The Cacti Group
<snip>
Is it still ok to use?

If it's from SVN/087, yes. If it's from SVN/main, no.
