Counting amount of clients using network

Hello, can anyone help me in setting Cacti to count how many people (actually IP's) using my server at the moment to connect to the Internet? I have a result like 100, 200 on www. The problem is, how do I take these numbers and put them in graphs? Perl? Somehow else? Thank you in advance.
