Aggregate plugin. No aggregate graphs created

Post by lcano »

Hi,

I'm trying to create some simple aggregate graphs, two interfaces from different devices to summarize the traffic.

My first problem was already solved reading information, as I also have thold pluging installed, and I had to modify setup.php code. Alreade done!

So, graph management screen, filtering to find those which I am interested, select them and then Create Aggregate Graph in the dropdown box. I go
to the next screen. I was reading the PDF HowTo from the download page and I saw that there is some different options depending which kind of grap
h you need. I only need a new graph with the total traffic of both interfaces. My firts aggregate graph so I'm not sure with the options, and I tr
ied several posibilities.

My problem is here: Everything selected and I press YES to create the graph. Then it finish, goes back to the graph management screen, but I canno
t see any new graph created.

Are they really created or there is something wrong in the process?. If they were created, how can I find them? I have more than 10.000 Datasource
s and 5.000 RRD's so it is really difficult only to try to find them without any filter.

Thanks.

The default name has 'Aggregate' in it. Try searching for that in the graph page.

Nothing found! :( I'm wondering if it really created the graphs. Is there anything wrong in the process? Any troubleshooting tip?

Thanks.

Try sorting by graph id, and see if they appear.

If not, check your cacti.log, then your apache log for errors.

Hello, this happen to me too, what I need to do to workaround this is disable the Thold plugin in the PA, create the aggregate graph and re-enable the Thold.
Hope this helps.

There is a known bug with THOLD that blocks out AGGREGATE. cigamit said, that the issue is fixed in THOLD SVN.

Confirmed! Disabling Thold plugin I finally could create the aggregate graphs, then enable again.

Gandalf, I suppose thold SVN is next release of thold plugin, isn't it? When is it going to be released?

Don't know. That's jimmy's work (cigamit).
The change should be a one liner only.

Same problem here:

After "fixing" tholds setup.php everything seems to work fine. I'm able to select the different graphs and the aggregate menu appears.

I make my chances an then "please confirm --> yes".

Result: nothing happens. I didn't get any new graph (or sorted by ID a new ID).

If i disable the thold plugin everything works fine again.

I think thats another bug !!

Please list all installed plugins. I know some of them by now that do not return correct data from some hooks (one of them is my own, unfortunately), thus breaking all subsequent plugins using the same hook

You will have to disable the plugins one at a time until the problem goes away, then that plugin that is causing the problem will have to be fixed. My guess is manage.
