FATAL: Cannot connect to MySQL server on 'admatriunm02'.

Hello,

I am getting a little desperate, we are trying to install cacti on a second server, and after following all the necessary steps we get the cannot connect issue. We can connect to the cacti db from cli using the info from config.php,
Anybody any ideas ?

Need a little more info than that. The 'cannot connect issue' means nothing to me.

OS? Version? RPM? tar.gz?

Is php-mysql installed?

Have you walked through the install? Where did it stop?

plus: did you provide permissions for the correct mysql user on the correct host?
