Need HELP w/Accessing graphs from remote Web Server.

Post by jinman »

Hello all,

I have an internal 'Web-Server' that we use as a Server Documentation Store.
i.e. Mail-Server <link to MailServer Docs> <link to mrtg-graph>...
I need to be able to point from this Web-Server to a specific graph on cacti.
An example would be..
http://cactiserver.com/cacti/graph.php? ... &type=tree

This example would give me exactly what I want.. except that it doesn't work.
When the url is called for the first time, it always returns a top-level page that doesn't have any graphs associated with it.
However, once you traverse 'graph-trees' to the actual graph that you want.. then future 'hits' will bring up the proper graph.
That is.. until you close the browser/session??.

User Mgmt doesn't seem to be the problem. As long as you know what graph you want.. you can get their without logging in.

So,
Does anyone have any information on how to do this?

I have a very similar application setup. I use Cacti to write static graphs to a directory. Then I simply link the images into my doc system with <img src="my.cacti.server/graphs/graph123.png">

Look at the HTML Export Path feature within the Cacti Settings.
