[SOLVED] Looking at graphs causes gaps

Post by bl243 »

Hi,

I am running Cacti 0.8.7b and have noticed that If I log in and navigate to a graph in the graph tree, gaps start to appear in the graphs that I am viewing. The gaps only happen on graphs that I look at for the period I look at them.

I have set logging with values and can see that the correct values are being retreived each poll even for the graphs I am looking at.

Any ideas how to troubleshoot?

Thanks.

Best thing to do is follow the troubleshooting guide provided at the Doc's site. There are many possible sources, the top of the list is dual crons'. However, your Cacti log will contain lot's of clues.

Hi Witness,

Thanks for the reply.

Could you point out the Troubleshooting guide you were talking about. I couldn't find anything on the Cacti site or wiki that looks like a troubleshooting guide. I've found a few FAQs that don't seem to cover what I need.

Also the Cacti log is where I started. There are no entries to suggest why this might be occurring.

Here are the entries, while looking at a graph (which starts leaving a gap while I look at it)
