Alias or interface description length problem in graph title

Post by pavlik »

Hi,

On some devices I have long interface descriptions (over 50 chars) so I would like to make use of |query_ifDescr| or |query_ifAlias| in graph title. However they are always trimmed to 30 chars. I've looked through to code and it seems that it's made during update of title_cache field in graph_templates_graph table. Unfortunately I'm not so experienced in Cacti's PHP coding so would be glad to receive guidance on this.

Thanks,
Paul

There's a parameter under settings -> visual that handles title length

Ohhh... thanks a lot, it has done the trick :). Somehow I've missed that setting.

I would like to point out that if you have graphs already created, you will need to go into each, through Graph Management, and click 'save' in order for the title length to change.

Or select the graph(s) and use the ReApply Suggest Graphs Titles action (bottom right corner).
