After moving to Ubuntu from Windows which gave me lots of problems I cannot get any graphs. Graph debug mod is returning this:
/usr/bin/rrdtool: symbol lookup error: /usr/lib/libcario.so.2: undefined symbol: FT_Library_SetLcdFilter
libcario

Either you mistyped the message, or someone made an error in your copy of rrdtool - the library is called libcairo.
How did you install rrdtool?
How did you install rrdtool?
Weathermap 0.98a is out! & QuickTree 1.0. Superlinks is over there now (and built-in to Cacti 1.x).
Some Other Cacti tweaks, including strip-graphs, icons and snmp/netflow stuff.
(Let me know if you have UK DevOps or Network Ops opportunities, too!)

Then it seems you need to raise a bug report with the Ubuntu packagers that they haven't put the right dependencies on the rrdtool (or libcairo maybe) packages.griffinpet wrote:yes, in fact that was my mistake....Howie wrote:Either you mistyped the message, or someone made an error in your copy of rrdtool - the library is called libcairo.

To install rrdtool I just used
sudo aptitude install rrdtool
You could try installing libfreetype by using aptitude too, since that is what it is complaining about.
