Change subject of email alert

hi @ all

how can I change the subject from an email?
In the "Settings - Alerting/Thold" I only can change the Alert Text Message but not the subject.
It it nessesary for our email2sms gateway, which needs an special email subject.

Has anyone a idea?

I am also interested in how to change the subject for the alerting emails. I'll keep researching and post any solutions.

You can change the text in the setup.php files for the respective plugin where text of body, headers (email) are being defined / called.

I using both Thold and NMID UpDownMonitor plugin. I wanted to add an additional AuthCode in my subject for the SMS gateway to verify when the host down alert goes out.

I added the respective text in setup.php file for NMID plugin in the plugins directory of cacti.

@Plug-In DEV: Why not integrating this into "settings" or s.th. like that? I had the same issue but figured it out myself. Would be handy anyway ...

Fine, I'll add an option to the cacti settings then where the subject can be configured via the web-interface. Something with variables, like the line below:

Subject  = "This is an alert for |host_hostname| ( |host_description| )"

Where |host_hostname| and |host_description| will be replaced with the actual data.
