Nagios-RRD-Files for Cacti?

Post by WolverineJR »

Hi folks,

this is my first contact with cacti.
I've got the order to combine our Nagios-PNP-created RRD-files with Cacti so we can use the vantages and options of Cacti with the data from Nagios.

I have found the following instructions for this problem ( http://forums.cacti.net/about12202.html ... gios2cacti). But I am not able to display Cacti-graphs based on Nagios-created RRD-files.

For testing I chose an existing RRD-file named "NT-Memory.rrd" located on the server in the path "/usr/local/nagios/share/perfdata/testserver/".

The output of "rrdtool info NT-Memory" was:

Code: Select all

What have I done:

- installed Cacti on the Nagios-Server (os = Debian; Nagios-version=3.1.2; RRD-tool-version=1.3.8; Cacti-version=0.8.7e) => Cacti is accessable via browser
- created a Data Template named "DT-NT_Memory" (see "Bild1.jpg")
- created a Graph Template named "GT-NT_Memory" (see "Bild2.jpg")
- created a Host named "Testserver" (see "Bild3.jpg")
- created a Data Source (see "Bild4.jpg")
- created a new graph via Graph Management (see "Bild5.jpg")

But no graph appears.

Can someone tell me what is wrong?

THX!

Please see http://docs.cacti.net/manual:088:8_rrdt ... dated_rrds or ask at the related thread for that plugin.
