[solved] GEth and SNMP 64 bit counters

Post by joseme »

HI:
I've a trouble, with snmp. My graphs show gaps for values greater than 100Mbps on an Gigaethernet interface, I've read that I should select 64 bit counters to solve this, so I selected this value in this way... :

"Data sources"-<selected the GEth interface>-Custom data-Output type ID (changed the value to In /Out Bit (64-bit counters)).

Is this OK?, or is there other steps?. I'll check tomorrow to see the results of this change.....

For switches, yes use the 64bit counters. Windows does NOT have 64bit traffic counters, sadly.

And set the SNMP to version 2 !! SNMP v1 not support the 64 bit counter
